Our Story
Our journey began in an unexpected place—online, on Hinge. Meaghan, a lawyer from Texas, and Danilo, a Brazilian neuroscientist, found each other and started talking, and from the very beginning, it felt like we’d known each other forever. We instantly connected on so many levels, from our shared love for family to our values in life. As we spent more time together, we realized how deeply in love we were, and we both felt more at home with each other than we had with anyone else.
We both appreciate the little things: good food, good company, and the joy of hosting friends and family for a memorable evening. We love cooking together—especially spicy dishes—and trying new foods from different cultures. It’s these moments of togetherness that have made our bond even stronger.
Our third date was one to remember—Meaghan invited Danilo to her law firm’s Christmas party, and he somehow managed to get a custom-tailored suit in less than a week. Afterward, she invited him to Christmas with her family, and from that moment on, we were inseparable. By New Year’s Eve, Danilo asked Meaghan to be his girlfriend, and our love continued to grow from there.
In August, Danilo proposed, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to start this next chapter together. In September, we traveled to Brazil, where Meaghan finally got to meet Danilo’s family, marking another beautiful milestone in our relationship.
We’re so excited to celebrate our love with you all, and we can’t wait to share this special day with the people who mean the most to us.
A Hallmark Movie
Our first conversation was around Thanksgiving, and after a brief delay for the holiday, Danilo invited Meaghan to meet in Sundance Square for a first date at Thompsons Bookstore. We had one drink at the bar, but then walked and talked for hours--neither of us wanted the night to end.
Our early relationship felt like a holiday movie--hot chocolate, long walks with Christmas lights, and Christmas parties. Meaghan felt comfortable enough with Danilo to invite him to her work Christmas party for their third date, and by the next week, Danilo was celebrating Christmas at the Nowell household.
New Year's 2024
We celebrated New Year's Eve dancing the night away at a fun party in Southlake. That weekend, Danilo asked Meaghan to be official, and we have been inseparable ever since!

For Valentine's Day (and Danilo's birthday), we traveled to Fredericksburg, Texas to enjoy good wine, good food, and we especially enjoyed learning to put Prosecco over sorbet!

August 4, 2024 - Best Date Ever
Danilo proposed after a day of friends, museums, and delicious food. He proposed at the exact square of pavement where we met, in front of Thompson's in downtown Fort Worth. Best. Day. Ever.

Saying Goodbye
In September 2024, Meaghan and Danilo had to say goodbye to her dog of 14 years, Roxy. Roxy loved Danilo, and Danilo even told Roxy he loved her before he told Meaghan. It has been hard letting go, but we are glad to have each other through it.
New Beginnings
Not being able to live without a dog very long, we rescued Rosie together in fall 2024. We have shared the joy (and tribulations) of training a new puppy together, and are glad to have a new addition to our little family.
The Magic Continues
Just before Halloween, we hosted a Harry Potter themed Halloween party. It was our first of what we hope to be many holiday celebrations with family and friends in the future!
